The following item is available: SBR without display and keyboard for use in combination with Vege T or VegaII or directly with terminal automation systems.
The SBR is an ATEX and IECEx certified contactless RF contactless badge reader used to identify drivers in the loading bays of oil storage terminals.
Contactless badge reading, high mechanical protection (IP66) and ATEX and IECEx certification guarantee:
• No wear and long service life
• Safe use in hazardous areas SBR reads badges at 125 kHz in accordance with the ISO 7816 size standard (eg credit cards).
• The badge is read by inserting the card into the front pocket.
The badge code is transmitted via serial communication line:
• to TAS (Terminal Automation System) with slave version SBR/A (Transmission on Demand)
• to a VEGAII/VEGAT or VEGA 3 electronic meter with master version SBR/B (spontaneous transfer).
The SBR is also equipped with three LEDs indicating:
- red: power on
- green: correct reading of the icon
- yellow: status of the output relay.
SBR/A version (transmission on request)
In this case, TAS constantly asks the badge reader to check:
• if the badge is in your pocket
• icon code
TAS can also control one relay placed in the badge reader to control an external device such as a bar or a traffic light.
SBR/B MASTER version (spontaneous transmission)
In this case, the pass reader spontaneously and continuously transmits the pass code to the pocket.
This version can also be used when there is no TAS and the use of the loading platform must be restricted to operators with a pass activated by a special procedure on VEGAII / VEGAT or VEGA 3.
