Lecitrailer, in partnership with Valx and Carrier, has launched the first semi-trailer equipped with an all-electric refrigeration unit, called the Lecitrailer Eco Frigo.
The unit is powered by a battery, which is charged from the network when the vehicle is stationary, and by regenerative energy generated by one of the axles of the semi-trailer's during braking.
The Lecitrailer Evolution is equipped with Valx E2!HD axles, which also store energy in a battery, using it to power Carrier's fully autonomous and electric Vector eCool refrigeration unit.
This makes it the first semi-trailer on the market without an internal combustion engine!
This innovative approach is a testament to the companies' commitment to reduce emissions and improve the environmental performance of refrigerated transport.
