By tradition, we celebrate the Day of the motorist and road builder on the last Sunday of October. And in 2021 Ukraine celebrates it on October 31.
We have been celebrating this holiday for 28 years. It was established "... in support of the initiative of road transport and road infrastructure workers ...". At the time of independence, the Driver's Day became a joint professional holiday for both drivers and road workers under the name "Day of the motorist and road builder".
Now they are celebrating the Day of the Motor Transport Worker, or, as it is also called - Driver's Day - not only those who actually sit behind the wheel. Today it is an official holiday for all workers in the road transport sector.
