Application
It is used to measure and control the level, interface level, temperature, determine the density, volume and mass of liquid non-crystallizing media (including oil products and LPG) at oil and gas, chemical, automotive, shipbuilding, water, utility, food and other industries.
It is used in technological schemes for:
- signaling the achievement of critical values of the measured parameters
- automated accounting of liquid products (commercial accounting)
- prevent "dry" running of transfer pumps
- automatic level and temperature control
- prevent overfilling of tanks
The main objects of operation: tank farms (equipment of vertical tanks), gas and oil storage facilities, oil terminals, technological systems for the preparation and processing of oil, etc.
Peculiarities
- absence of "dead" zones of level measurement in the joints of the probes
- modular design for easy transport, installation and maintenance
- level measurement range up to 25 meters
- transfers the processed values of the measured parameters
- easy integration into various telematics systems
- anti-vandal housing made of aluminum alloy or stainless steel
- explosion-proof execution
- simple application and commissioning
- transit connection
- continuous self-diagnosis
- a large selection of devices for fastening the protective sheaths of the cable (metal hoses, armored cables, pipes).
Description
The transducer consists of separate parts connected by thread: housing, connectors, measuring probes, plug with clamp. A float with two magnets moves freely along the guide formed by probes and connectors.
The length of each probe and their number are selected according to the height of the tank. Connectors (hollow tubes) are used to increase the length of the guide in its upper part.
The principle of liquid level measurement is based on the effect of magnets located in the lower and upper parts of the float on magnetically sensitive contacts (reed switches) located in the probes: the float moves along the guide along with the changing liquid level, and with its magnets causes the reed switches to close.
Measurement continuity with a step of 5 mm is achieved by installing reed switches in a row and connecting them through resistors according to the circuit of a resistive voltage divider, the circuits of which are connected to the controller.
The converter can use one or two floats. The second float is used to measure the interface level (bottom water).
Product temperature measurement is carried out by integral temperature sensors located in the middle of each probe below the float level.
In addition to liquid level, media separation and temperature, the transmitter can be used to determine the density, volume and mass of the product.
Calculations of the volume, density, mass of oil, oil products and LPG are carried out in accordance with the data given in the standards: GOST 26976-86 "Oil and oil products. Mass measurement methods"; GOST R 8.595 2002 "Mass of oil and oil products. General requirements for measurement procedures"; GOST 28656-90 “Liquefied hydrocarbon gases. Calculation method for determining the density and pressure of saturated vapors.
