Auxiliary vent valves 64078 and 64159 are designed to release vapors when loading from below and to introduce airflow into the tank during refueling.
Model 64078 is pneumatically actuated and has a double sealed, externally vented actuating piston that prevents fuel from entering the air system. It can be locked with the bottom tank loading valve.
64159 connects directly to the bottom tank loading valve using a mechanical link.
Both outlet valves use a bonded poppet seal for leak-free operation and minimal maintenance. They have an opening pressure of 3 psi. inch (0.297 bar).
and fully open at 5 psi. inch (0.345 bar).
Model 64078 is fully interchangeable with the Meggitt F646 or F646B (but the blocking port in our vent is standard and no extra cost).
64159 is fully interchangeable with Meggitt F646A.
The 64167 and 64168 vents have a 3" inlet opening and meet US DOT 406 and 407 rollover specifications. In the past, both mechanical and pneumatic vent valves opened outwards and could open uncontrollably in the event of a tank overturn.
64168 is opened mechanically by a stem connected to the tank's bottom loading valve, while 64167 is operated pneumatically. Both vent valves compensate for the effect of fuel consumption created by 6-inch piping systems. Extraction hoods with two outlets are included as standard.
